ABC's and 123's

Lauren knows her ABC's! Surprisingly. We are amazed at how much interest she took in learning them too-she loves them. When we are in the car she reads the letters and numbers from the signs she sees outside the car window. "7,6!" we heard one night-It's funny. Oh and also this past month she has really been making us smile with her singing-full verses of songs! She surprises us every day. She's been trying to count to 20 these past couple of weeks too. We are treasuring these days as new parents. So much fun!

(I'm not sure why this is showing up sideways. Anyone know how to rotate a video so it is vertical?)

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year we spent it with the Folgers in Manhattan Beach! Lauren was very happy to play ball and skip around like horses with her older cousin Abiah. We really had a fun day making delicious food and just enjoying being together.

Astro Blasters!

Jim and I went to Disneyland together this past weekend and we were able to email ourselves this shot of us inside the ride! We never noticed that before! Jim did well. (Check out his scores! &71st in the entire park for the day) OK, so we got stuck inside the ride a few times, ;) but it really takes a steady arm to hit the targets just right!

Needless to say, we had a blast. He he.

Wrong Season for this color, O Well!

OK, here they are...I won't say too much cause, I think I've already said enough about me. Only now I think it could actually be fading.? OH, who am I kidding? I suppose I'm at the next step in the process: Shock,Denial,Anger,Depression, then Acceptance. Or am I at acceptance? All I know is that I'm ready to move on and just live with it. Thanks for all the words of advice. He he.
It has helped me get out of the house in the morning.

Box Colorers Anonymous

I wonder if there is currently a group of this kind out there.?
Yes, I am revealing a stupefying weakness that comes out at truly my weakest of times-when I'm really poor! About 4-6 months after a nice highlighting I really, really need to do my hair again. But then I think about how much it would cost, and then I put it off a little longer; which leads me to start wandering down those isles in the stores that sell box color highlighting kits that make it look so easy and simple to get that color-and for a price that sounds too good to be true! So it jumps into my cart and gives me a totally false sense of security going home that in a couple of days, my days of hair woes will be over. Unfortunately, it is only the beginning! Ladies, it will always be too good to be true and it probably won't come out as expected! They really should have alarms set on those isles to go off the moment any desperate amateur colorer wants to browse. I really should know better. Because I've done this before! Ugh!! I told myself this time too that if it didn't turn out, I had to live with it and there was no option to go get it fixed; like the last time...($200 color correction). Ohhh...really bad. Sometimes I think it is all a conspiracy-just to get me into that salon! Just kidding.
So, if there is anyone out there that would like to talk about it, let me know. I'm here for you. I feel your pain-it's every time I look in the mirror! He he. Is there a twelve step program that will help us get over the temptation to walk down those isles? Just take it from me, don't even think about it!! Even if it worked for a couple of your friends, you probably won't be that lucky. I suppose then this could be my color of the season? A pic you ask?...oh, I'll post it soon.

Disneyland with Nana!

This past Saturday we had another fun trip to Disneyland with Nana! It is always SO fun to see what new things Lauren will enjoy each time we go. The train ride was among her favorites, plus she was dancing every time she got out of the stroller. Thanks to Nana and Baba, so far this year we've enjoyed 3 family trips to Disneyland, with one more left for this weekend! Nana treated us to a day of watching Lauren as we went on rides, delicious lunches and dinners, and also spoiled Lauren with some cute Cinderella sunglasses and a glow necklace! Lauren loves her Nana, and we do too!
Thanks for spending the day with us!
