Learning names is so much fun...MRS. KING!

Lauren started preschool this past week and "Learning names is so much fun" is a song that Lauren sang with her class to get to know her classmates and her new teacher, Mrs. King whom she absolutely loves! She's has already become part of her make believe scenarios at home. Too cute. And I really do love her new preschool. Here are some highlights from her first day:


Rug Time

Pictures are of her first Pledge of Allegiance, projects and computer time, snack time, and PLAY time! I love that she had Otter pops for the kids at the end of their day. It really topped off a fun day plus it was so hot outside-what a great idea! Lauren loved all the new toys inside and outside the classroom. The kids are sweet and the parents too that come participate. We're grateful to be able to go here.

Labor Day Weekend

We are really grateful for being able to enjoy a really relaxing weekend. First we started out our weekend by going to the local Aquarium and then ended up in the pool, it was a beautiful day.

On Sunday we went to a HUGE gathering of family and friends for my niece's blessing. She is so precious. My sister in law Kristen and my brother Doug made an amazing spread of food for lunch which I think fed 60. HUGE and VERY delicious!

Then we took a moment to hug Sandy in the back yard. Lauren really loves being able to see and play with Sandy at Grandpa's house. In the last year however her health has declined and she is fully blind now, hasn't been eating lately, and at age 16 we don't think she will be with us for very much longer. We have loved her so much. She's still with us for now, but we thought we'd take some extra time to give her hugs and kisses.

On Labor Day a trip to the beach was what we did and spend some time with the Mom and Dad Folger!
Lauren loves turning into a sand crab and having us bury her in the sand. It was a perfect day-we spent the evening with Jim's parents and eating some yummy food and Lauren played with all the toys. Lauren loves spending time with her Nana and Baba-what a fun day!

Oh, how we love Summer...let us show you why...
