I've not posted for some time because I've been swamped and have been sick. This month has flown by!! We took a little day trip on this water taxi. It was just $2 total and we were gone an hour for the round trip. It was a fun thing to do together as a family. My only advice to anyone thinking of doing it, is to park in a parking lot other than the one for the Queen Mary. 0-59 min is free. After that you have to pay a day charge. ;)

Summer moments captured by Amanda
Yay! Some pictures! I was just given these pictures from my sister Amanda. Unfortunately, I accidentally dropped our camera earlier this summer- and I pretty much broke it. (Ugh!) So unfortunately I haven't been able to update the blog with our summer fun pictures but thankfully my sister Amanda captured a few of our good times when she was in town. It has been a very difficult, very stressful summer, and yet it has also been a summer filled with many blessings. We have been uplifted and sustained by many family members and friends by many acts of great service, great generosity, and love. We wish there were more we could do to show our thanks to those whom have been there for us, but the only way we can for now is through our many prayers of thanks and to return the favor to others when we can. We are SO grateful for everyone (you know who you are) and we wouldn't have been able to make it without all your prayers, friendship, and support. Thank you SO much!
So, here's just a few fun times(they turned out great Mooz, thanks!) we and Lauren had at her Grandpa's house (my Dad's house). Lauren loved the slip in slide, eating sliced turkey and of course her Soy Milk, searching for bugs (flies and ants are her favorite-she'll watch them with great patience), trying to get away with pulling of a few more artificial grapes from Grandpa's indoor greenery, following Sandy dog around (she gets SO excited when she finds her), and I think she has finally let me practice the violin with Grandpa on the piano! Although I have to admit she still slightly protests when I get out the instrument or when she hears a recording of the piece we've been practicing. It's kind of funny she says, "You're not going to play violin, Mommy." It's as though she is trying to do reverse psychology on me or something. I'm not really that bad am I?! I just have to explain to her that it will only be for a little while and that I still love her. :) How sad. Maybe my brothers who grew up with my violin practicing in the background of their childhood ears and from the years of exposure can feel Lauren's pain.? And my brothers are really smart, so you just never know what that kind of musical exposure will do for a child! ;) Just kidding. I can't take credit for any of their accomplishments. Anyways, this time I even got a hug and recently I got her applause, so I think we have made some progress this summer! I just think she prefers more her Daddy's instrument...the drums (see pictures from previous post). There are never any protests when given a shot at the drums. We love our little Lauren!

"Rock On, St.Clairs!"
This year to celebrate their 7th Anniversary, the St.Clair's hosted a Rock Band party! It was the first Rock Band party we've been able to attend and all of us had a blast! I wish we would have caught a picture of Lauren wearing her pink star shaped sunglasses she got from her Aunt Amanda-they looked great! She loved playing with Grandma Hanel, playing the drums (her favorite instrument), guitar, and the group even gave her a shot at the mic!

Happy 4th of July!
We had a great time gathering with the Folgers on the 4th. We all enjoyed the delicious food by Marian and Pete's expertise at the Barbecue. Lauren really loved getting to know her Aunt Joan a little better that day! And last but not least, the 4th wouldn't be complete without watching fireworks from the deck. Lauren really likes fireworks this year! She says,"Kaboom!"with her hands outstretched in front of her and of course, has a huge smile on her face.Here are some pictures captured of the day's fun:
